This Privacy Policy describes how Cherit (“we,” “our,” or “Service Provider”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Millie mobile application (the “Application” or “Service”). This policy applies to all users of the Application.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Application.

When you register and use the Application, we may collect the following personally identifiable information: email address, first name and last name, age/date of birth, gender, weight, height, timezone information, and password (encrypted and stored securely).

3.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Application, we automatically collect certain information, including device information such as IP address, device type and model, operating system and version, and unique device identifiers.

We also collect usage information, including pages and features of the Application you visit, time and date of your visits, time spent on the Application, actions you take within the Application, habit tracking data, and health-related information you input.

3.3 Location Information

The Application does not collect precise real-time location information about your device. We do not track your geographic location.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to provide, maintain, and improve the Application; process your registration and manage your account; enable habit tracking and health goal features; personalize your experience; send important information and required notices; respond to inquiries and support requests; send marketing communications with your consent where required; analyze usage patterns; develop new features; ensure security; and prevent fraud.

Artificial Intelligence

The Application uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, including OpenAI services, to provide personalized content and recommendations, generate feedback and insights based on your health data, and enhance the user experience through automated functionalities.

AI processing is performed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. Your data may be processed by third-party AI service providers as described in Section 6.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, and legal obligation, depending on the context of the processing.

The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies. We share information with these providers only as necessary to provide the Service. These providers include Google Play Services, OpenAI, PostHog, and cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and data storage.

We may share aggregated and anonymized data with external services to help us improve the Application. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your information. The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit data from children under 13, market to children under 13, or collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

You can opt out of marketing communications by using the unsubscribe link in marketing emails, adjusting your preferences in the Application settings, or contacting us at info@cherit.nl.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, changes in applicable laws, improvements to the Application, or feedback from users.
